Are you working in or on your business?

Crucial to the success of your business is having skilled people in the correct position at the correct time. I recommend to my clients the following: • Employ slowly and methodically, fire quickly • Ensure you have a Performance Management System in place (critically including reward/bonus structure) • Set expectations (who, what, why, when) and regularly review tasks set. • Agree on parameters against the expectations • Ensure all are focusing on your most profitable product/service • Allow for unplanned interference and readjust accordingly • Ensure all in your business (including yourself!) have a reasonable, planned work life balance • Welcome any feedback but encourage “solutions” rather than just “issues”

Focused people that are fully aware of expectations, timings and reward parameters are most likely to deliver above what may be required for any job role or project, taking one “PAIN POINT” out of your business
