Performance Management

I have been exposed recently to organisations who have been struggling to keep their staff motivated, engaged and accountable. I strongly recommend you put into place a performance management system. Such systems are a lot more simple than most expect. The process is as follows:

~ Review your Performance Management system (at all levels of your business unit).

~ Set key accountabilities for individual team members (including yourself).

~ Commence Monthly Focus Process based on business priorities, then review.

~ Continue or change Focus priorities monthly after review with each individual or team.

~ Action 360 degree feedback sessions quarterly with individuals.


Many years ago I was introduced to 'Performance Management' and fought the process for sometime, resisting change!

Once I embraced the change I was amazed by the results myself and my team delivered. Not to mention unprecedented staff retention which was an unrealised bonus!
