Plan well - but be flexible!
When planning my week, month & year, I always factor in contracts that I may pick up along the way that are not what my day to day business entails. These past 3 weeks have been exactly that! I have had the pleasure of co-presenting workshops with my Canadian colleague and friend, Ernie in the Oil and Gas sector. We work well together and both enjoy having the opportunity to work together with some very good people. We enjoy and compliment each other by bringing different skill sets to the table.
My point is, when your planning, allow time wherever practical for non planned opportunities that may arise. That puts you in the driver's seat on your planned journey, reaching your target or destination, allowing for twists and turns along the way! Who would have thought I would be conducting workshops in outback Queensland on my personal journey?!
