I have had some queries on “HOW” to delegate. Here is what has worked for me in the past as advised by my manager and mentor many years ago;
• Inform the person “WHAT” the task is.
• Inform the person “WHY” you require the task to be done.
• Inform the person “WHEN” the task needs to be completed.
• Schedule immediately regular follow up meetings to determine “HOW” the person is tracking.
It is difficult enough at times to delegate tasks to others, therefore do not overcomplicate the process, do your level best to keep the task clear, concise and ensure you offer your support 🤝
